QPR, “A Proper Football Club”?

Iain Dowie is quoted as saying “I’m delighted to be back, it’s a great club historically, I think in terms of fan base and tradition it’s a proper football club and these are exciting times.”

So which clubs are not “proper football clubs”?

He also says “My first thoughts of being manager at the club with the richest owners in the world is ‘wonderful’, it’s better to be that, than at the poorest.”

Richer than Roman Abramovich even?

And how much are Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone prepared to spend on QPR?
