Scotland’s Celtic and Rangers are clearly the two clubs with the greatest interest in the formation of an Atlantic League.
An Atlantic League would make more sense as part of a broader re-organization of European club football.
Market forces will drive changes in European football.
However, European football administrators remain behind the curve, looking to take football back to a past era and ignoring commercial realities, rather than taking the lead in bringing about pragmatic and progressive change.
